According to Raaja Sundaram, Joint Managing Director, NTC Logistics, going forward the firm would focus primarily on three sectors – freight forwarding, contract logistics (4PL logistics) and warehousing. “We started as a transport contractor during 1997. Today, we have made a mark in freight forwarding. It is still in a nascent stage in India. We have also started offering our services in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia. Our next step is to enter the US and Europe Union. We are looking for a joint venture partner in these regions or acquire a firm,” he said. Some Japanese firms have already evinced keen interest to partner NTC Logistics, he added. The firm is also planning to expand its warehousing capacity from 5 lakh square feet to 60 lakh square feet in 12 states.
