Express Industry Council of India Announces New Managing Committee to Strengthen Industry Representation and Policy Engagement

Mumbai, The Express Industry Council of India (EICI), the representative body of India’s express logistics industry, today announced its new Managing Committee following the conclusion of its Annual General Meeting.
The new committee brings together senior leaders from across India’s express logistics industry and will provide strategic direction to EICI’s industry representation, policy engagement and stakeholder initiatives. The leadership assumes its mandate as express logistics becomes increasingly important to India’s e-commerce, manufacturing, exports and cross-border trade ecosystem.

India’s express logistics industry has evolved significantly beyond the movement of time-critical documents and parcels. Today, express networks support businesses across sectors by connecting manufacturers, exporters, MSMEs and consumers with domestic and international markets. As supply chains become more time-sensitive and digitally integrated, the industry’s ability to provide predictable and efficient movement of goods is becoming increasingly important to India’s trade and economic ambitions. EICI’s 2025 industry report describes the sector as a vital logistics backbone supporting manufacturing, exports and e-commerce.
Against this backdrop, EICI will serve as a platform for structured dialogue between industry, government and other stakeholders with a focus on strengthening the industry’s collective representation and ensuring that policy discussions remain closely informed by operational realities. Its agenda will encompass trade facilitation, customs processes, cross-border e-commerce, export enablement, digitalisation and the broader ease of movement of goods.
With India’s export ambitions, manufacturing capabilities and digital commerce networks continuing to expand, the express logistics industry is positioned to play an increasingly important role in connecting businesses with markets and enabling the efficient movement of goods across domestic and international supply chains.
