Spicejet MRO deal with Bombardier over Q400s

ROJ SPICEJET YH051-2426 737-900 B-1 FlightSpicejet (SG, Delhi Int’l) has decided to retain its fleet of fifteen Dash 8-400s after it successfully renegotiated an MRO contract with manufacturer Bombardier (BBA, MontrĂ©al Trudeau) India’s Financial Chronicle has reported quoting confidential airline sources.

Last month, promoter Ajay Signh warned the turboprop’s future was in jeopardy given their poor financial performance with the Indian budget carrier.

The ch-aviation route database shows the Q400s are used on flights to India’s Tier II cities including Amritsar, Chandigarh, Dehra Dun, Dharamsala, Jabalpur, Jaipur, Mangalore, Pune, Rajahmundry, Tirupati, Udaipur, Vijayawada, and Varanasi.
