Slimstock won the Logistics Business IT Award 2014 for planning and forecasting software category. The software logistics specialist helped IM Parts, the official distributor of Subaru, Isuzu and Daihatsu brands in UK by creating recovery plan after the latter’s cargo ship sank in Indian Ocean with auto parts in 2013. Slimstock had shortly started working with the Coleshill-based IM Parts and managed to trouble-shoot for them from stock issues rising from the disaster which had the potential to run into high emergency air freight costs.
