NCCD extends support to India Cold Chain Show

nccdThe National Centre for Cold-chain Development (NCCD) has extended support to upcoming edition of India Cold Chain Show, scheduled to take place on 10-11-12 December 2014 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (E), Mumbai, Maharashtra. The exhibition takes place annually to bring together the stakeholders together at one place.
“We are honoured and thankful to NCCD for their support to India Cold Chain Show – for believing in our event and giving us the encouragement. We are hopeful that with the support of NCCD, the event would reach newer heights in the coming times” said Anuj Mathur, Managing Director of Reed Manch Exhibitions, the organisers of India Cold Chain Show.
NCCD is an autonomous think tank established by the Government of India and works closely with industry and other stakeholders. NCCD has been successfully promoting and developing integrated cold chain in India for perishable horticulture produce including perishables from allied sectors. NCCD has guided the new policy interventions for cold-chain development and related guidelines for their implementation. The main objectives of the centre are to serve as an advisory body to the Government and recommends appropriate policy frame-work, guide human resource development and to recommend other appropriate measures for holistic development of cold chain.
NCCD is today the prime driver of cold-chain developmental agendas and has brought about conceptual changes as well promoted innovation in this sector. Most of the policies developed by NCCD are focused on energy efficiency and green concepts, thereby striving to make India’s cold-chain environmentally friendly and future ready.
NCCD is registered as a society under Registration of Societies Act 1860 and functions with the approval of the Cabinet which was given on 09.02.2012.
